Ford Establishes Autonomous Vehicle Division

Ford Motor Company has announced the creation of Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC to further their development of self-driving car technology. Over the next 5 years, the automaker plans to invest 4 billion dollars in autonomous vehicle technology. Startup Rivian to Build Electric Pickups and SUVs

Founded in 2009, Rivian is one of the new players in automotive manufacturing and their focus is currently on electric trucks and SUVs, a segment largely unfilled thus far.
